It was a successful cooperation between NGO Lasnaidee and NGO Youth Club Active. With the financial support by British Council this time we decided to manage Human Library in the real Library in the Lasnamae district.
It happened in Library Paepealse Raamatukogus (address Pinna 8) on 10th of November 2018. Event was organised into to languages Estonian and Russian.
We had 15 living Books who are residents of the Lasnamae district and who were ready to break the stereotypes about this region.
Four 30-minute conversation sessions – we took into account the feedback from both Books and Readers after the previous events. We have also made the Book catalogue available online prior to the event, so people could have a look and possibly get curious about the concept, as well as have an idea which Books they might want to read.
We also included lunch break, which helped to Books, and readers had more non-formal time together.
All in all, the power and amazing influence of this concept was confirmed yet once again, and we are happy to keep working on next events.
